Annual gifts become an even stronger investment
Because of prudent stewardship, strong philanthropic support, and a carefully managed endowment that has fared better than those of most peer institutions, TCU remains well positioned to realize its vision of creating a world-class, values-centered university experience.
Strong annual giving is more important now than ever. Here’s why:
Financial need for many of our students is increasingly significant. TCU’s student retention of freshman from fall to spring semester was 96 percent. Spring enrollment is up 1 percentage point over last year. Deposits for next fall’s freshman class are up 20 percent over the previous year. Increased financial aid is the key to each of these achievements.- TCU gets results and uses dollars invested in the University wisely. One example is the strength of the endowment, in spite of recent market volatility. Cambridge Associates ranked its performance number one among similar-sized college and university endowments for the one-year period ending June 30, 2008. The fund also was in the 1st quartile during the difficult second half of 2008.
- Sustained momentum of the campaign will turn goals to reality and differentiate TCU from other schools. Your investment will go even farther to recruit top students, keep classes small, strengthen academic programs, and to attract and retain the outstanding, mentoring faculty TCU is known for.
